The 2020 Bristol Fiesta Fly Past

At 6:30am on 3rd August 2020, up to forty three hot air balloons launched from Ashton Court for the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta’s Bristol Fly Past.

Given the current global situation we find ourselves in and with restrictions on mass gatherings in effect the usual format of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta could not take place this year. The efforts of the organisers resulted in a one off morning flight from Bristol dubbed The Fiesta Fly Past.

Our line up of hot air balloons included our Renishaw balloon, which is well known throughout South Gloucestershire, as well as both of our Longleat Animals – Simbaloo the Lion and Adelaide the Koala.

The hot air balloons filled the skies over Bristol and enjoyed the views from the skies above Ashton Court and the surrounding area before Renishaw and Simbloo the Lion landed safely in Chew Magna. Adelaide the Koala landed further along in Ston Easton.

The event was in a very different format this year with no event this year there was no day time tethering as in previous years. We look forward to a better 2021 and returning to the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta that we know and love.
