Penguin’s First Court Appearance, Canton, MS
Friday saw our special shape penguin hot air balloon, Tall Steve, make his courthouse debut, launching from the historic Madison County Courthouse in Canton, Mississippi for the 33rd Annual Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Festival.
This beautiful Greek revival building dates back to 1858 and has a rich cultural heritage, as well as being a popular film set location. Mississippi Burning, A Time to Kill and My Dog Skip were all filmed here.
You will be pleased to hear, Tall Steve got off scot free and went on to take part in a glorious night glow on Saturday.
The next stop on his American Adventure is Shreveport, Texas, the home of ballooning legend, Glen Moyer.
