Our Sky Safari flies to Igualada

This year our Sky Safari family of special shape hot air balloon animals have travelled to Spain for the European Balloon Festival this week.

The annual festival is now in its 23rd year and takes place in Igualada, just outside of Barcelona. Organised by balloon manufacturer UltraMagic, there are over fifty balloons attending and the event welcomes pilots from all over the world.

Following a press flight on Thursday morning, there will be flights morning and evening through until Sunday, with a spectacular night glow on Saturday night for which the whole town comes out to watch.

Simbaloo, our Longeat special shape Lion, returns to the festival for the fourth year in a row whilst bringing his Longleat family with him who will all be attending for the first time this year!

Within his pack is our new Duma the Cheetah, Adelaide the Koala and Roger the Panther special shape hot air balloons. You may recognise some of these special shapes as they have had their moment of fame as they appeared on the official poster for the festival this year!

Our Sky Safari animals can all be seen together in the UK in September for the Longleat Sky Safari Balloon Festival which is the UK’s largest hot air balloon event, with over 200 balloons attending in 2018.
