Bristol International Balloon Fiesta Celebrates 40th Year

Exclusive Ballooning are on site with four balloons at the 2018 Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.

The Fiesta is celebrating its 40th year and has pulled out all the stops, inviting back all of the iconic special shape balloons that have attended since 1979, including Rupert the Bear and the Michelin Man.

We are on site with the stunning bespoke Fortnum & Mason, our special shape Ricoh cube, the famous Renishaw and everyone’s favourite Lion, Simbaloo.

On Thursday night, the night glow kicked the event off in style with 26 balloons lighting up the night sky, including our own Renishaw and Fortnum & Mason.

Weather conditions prevented any free flying on Friday but we were tethering throughout the day in the main arena for the media and crowds.

Saturday morning saw the first mass ascent of the event with 108 balloons launching from Ashton Court and flying the in the perfect direction out towards the Clifton Suspension Bridge and landing on the Clifton Downs.

We will be on site through until Sunday, with further mass ascents and a night glow planned, weather permitting.
