It’s about creating an angle where there previously wasn’t one. It’s about standing out. For example, 100,000 people watched, photographed, videoed and tweeted the Fortnum & Mason ‘Inflation Race’ at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta.
This involved two balloons ‘racing’ each other to inflate for the crowd and it made great national TV coverage as there was no other activity in the arena. We then set a record with the UK Ultimate Frisbee team throwing from one balloon to another. Simple and effective, we come up with ideas like these in house – costing you nothing extra, but generating so much more publicity.
